Day 1

Maun to Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR)

You will be picked up from Maun (airport or hotel) and driven into the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve, a journey of around 4 to 5 hours. Lunch will be served en route. On arrival at your campsite, settle in before heading out for a late afternoon game drive. Experience the magic of the Kalahari as the sun sets over the endless horizon. Dinner and overnight at your CKGR campsite.

Day 2

Full Day in Central Kalahari

Rise early for a light breakfast before setting out on a morning game drive in search of black-maned Kalahari lions, cheetahs, oryx, and springbok. Return to camp for brunch and some rest during the midday heat. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive, exploring the wilderness further. In the evening, relax around the campfire, followed by dinner, stargazing and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Central Kalahari to Nxai Pan National Park

After breakfast, we drive approximately 4 to 5 hours to Nxai Pan National Park. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way. Upon arrival, settle into camp before heading for an afternoon game drive across the shimmering pans, famous for large herds of zebras and springbok during the migration season. Dinner and overnight at Nxai Pan campsite.

Day 4

Explore Nxai Pan

Enjoy a full day of safari activities in Nxai Pan National Park. Have an early morning game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs. Visit the iconic Baines’ baobabs, a group of giant ancient trees made famous by artist Thomas Baines in the 1860s. Return to camp for brunch, rest during the heat of the day, and head out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Overnight at Nxai Pan campsite.

Day 5

Nxai Pan to Makgadikgadi Pans – Sleep Under the Stars

After the morning game drive, depart Nxai Pan and head to the edge of the vast Makgadikgadi Pans (approximately 1hour and 30 minutes). Here you will collect your quad bikes and embark on an adventurous ride into the pans. Visit the meerkats and enjoy their playful antics before continuing across the salt flats to your camp set up under the stars. Tonight you will experience the magic of sleeping out on the open pan — no tents, just a bedroll under a blanket of a million stars.

Day 6

End of the Tour

Wake up to a magical sunrise over the salt pans and enjoy breakfast before making your way back to the vehicle by quad bike. From here, you will drive back to Maun (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes) with a picnic lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Maun or at the airport in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
