Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest. Airport pickup and drive to Nyungwe Forest (5 hours). Afternoon arrival and evening briefing. Night birding session for owls.

Day 2: Nyungwe Forest Birding – Igishigishigi Trail. Early morning birding on Igishigishigi Trail targeting Red-collared Babbler, Rwenzori Turaco, and various sunbirds. Afternoon canopy walk for canopy species.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest Birding – Karamba Trail. Full day birding on Karamba Trail. Target species include Grauer Warbler, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, and Albertine Owlet.

Day 4: Kamiranzovu Swamp and Waterfall Trail. Morning birding at Kamiranzovu Swamp for wetland species. Afternoon birding on Waterfall Trail for forest edge species.

Day 5: Morning Birding and Return to Kigali. Early morning final birding session. Mid-morning departure to Kigali with birding stops en route. Afternoon departure.
