The name Tarangire originates from the Tarangire River which crosses through the national park and is a source of water for wildlife species especially during the dry season in the months of June to October.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large herds of Elephants which roam around freely in the park as well as the baobab trees. This is the best park among Tanzania because it offers less crowded and more time to see the animals living in the wild.

The seasonal swamps and rivers attract large numbers of animals in Tarangire national park creating a wonderful memorable safari experience for tourists who are always visiting this destination.

Lake Manyara National Park

Covering a total area of about 325square kilometers, Lake Manyara National Park is one of the smallest National Parks in Tanzania renowned to have been established in the years of 1960.

The park is very famous for the tree climbing lions and the large flocks of Flamingo Birds which flock the lake to find food. Most of the diverse habitats of Lake Manyara are composed of ground water forests, woodlands and hot springs.

Lake Manyara national park is also a great spot for bird watching with over 400 bird species recorded in the Park such as flamingos. Other animal species that you will find this park include African Elephants, African Buffaloes, and Leopards, Giraffes, Baboons, Hippos, Hyenas and bushbucks.

Kilimanjaro National Park

Kilimanjaro National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Tanzania, and it is most famous for being home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain (5,895 meters or 19,341 feet above sea level). The park is a major destination for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers from around the world.
